Ever wondered why there's a great big Chimney in the middle of Halifax St?!
It's a relic of the old City Destructor Complex. The Chimney and the Disinfector building are the only surviving elements of this waste processing plant, which once comprised a refuse destructor, a tin baling press, clinker mill, mortar mill and flagmaking plant.

It’s historic and atmospheric surrounds are perfect for getting a group together for drinks and sport in the Front Bar, or a top-notch feed in their lovely dining room. They also have numerous rooms for that special occasion function! You’ll find the Alehouse at 316 Pulteney St, Adelaide or online at www.coopersalehouse.pub.
To be in the draw, all you have to do is like the City South Adelaide Facebook or Instagram page, and comment in the giveaway post “I’m in!”
You must post to this thread by 9am Fri Feb 14 (that’s right, Valentine’s Day!)
